We have worked very hard to make Mill Dental Centre a COVID safe environment. We have employed a new member of staff to carry out health checks on every person entering the practice. This person also gives instructions and guides patients around the building as necessary. We have installed hand sanitising stations, screens at reception, removed chairs in our waiting areas so that patients can wait at safe social distances and also installed extractors in our surgeries. All of our practice team are fully trained in our COVID policies. Detailed below is information relating to how a routine visit to the practice is managed.
We
will call you the day before your appointment. This is so that we can ask you
the COVID-19 health screening questions, these are:
o
Have you tested
positive for COVID-19 in the last 7 days?
o
Are you waiting for a
test or test results?
o
Do you
have:
o
a new continuous
cough?
o
a new
fever?
o
a change in sense of
taste or smell?
o
Does any of the above
apply to anyone you live with?
o
Have you been
contacted by any NHS body and advised to isolate?
- If
you answer yes to any of the questions it will be necessary for us to rebook
your appointment
- At
the current time we cannot grant you access to the practice until we are ready
to see you. Please either call the practice or ring the bell when you arrive, we will come and find you
when the surgery is ready for you
- If
possible, please come alone and bring as little as possible with you, such as
coats and bags. If you do bring any additional items with you, it will be
necessary for you to leave them in a box outside of the
surgery
- Upon
entry, a member of our team will carry out the COVID-19 health check and also
take your temperature. We will ask you to sanitise your hands and put on a face
mask. You will then be directed to a specific waiting area chair
- If there is a charge for your treatment, we will ask you to make payment by credit or debit card. We are not able to accept cash or cheque at the present time
- Although we have toilet facilities at the practice, we would encourage you to use your facilities at home before leaving to further reduce risk of possible exposure
- Once
your visit has been completed a member of the practice team will guide you
from the building, asking you to remove your mask and sanitise your hands just
before exiting
- If you are contacted
by NHS Test and Trace or develop any of the symptoms listed above in the 14 days
after your visit to the practice, please call and let us
know
